    On every service call

Brunswick grew up around the railroad yards on the Potomac, and its housing reflects that history — dense, well-built early-twentieth-century worker housing climbing the hillside above the river, plus newer development on the higher ground.

The older stock has the profile we know from pre-war Catonsville: galvanized supply corroding from the inside, cast iron drainage narrowed by scale, plaster-and-lath walls and non-standard fixture roughs. It is familiar work in an unfamiliar place.

At around fifty-five miles it is one of the furthest points we serve. We take scheduled work here and we say plainly that a local plumber will beat us on emergency response.

What we find in Brunswick homes

Whole-House Repiping at a home in Brunswick, MD
On a call in Brunswick.

Railroad-era worker housing

Dense, sturdy, and now more than a century old in places. Galvanized supply and cast iron drainage are the working assumptions until we see otherwise.

Hillside terrain above the river

Steep grades mean drainage runs at unusual angles and storm water moves quickly through properties. Where a house sits on the slope shapes its basement story.

Genuinely long distance

Fifty-five miles is at the far edge of our range. Scheduled work is fine; emergency response would be slow and we do not pretend otherwise.

Neighborhoods and landmarks we work around

We cover all of Brunswick and the surrounding Frederick County communities, including 21716. Areas we are in regularly:

  • Potomac River
  • Brunswick Railroad Museum
  • Route 17
  • Route 340
  • C&O Canal
  • Harpers Ferry border

What Brunswick customers tell us

Brunswick housing has a great deal in common with the pre-war stock we work on every day. The distance is unfamiliar; the plumbing is not.

Plumbing questions from Brunswick

Do you actually come out to Brunswick?

For scheduled work, yes — Frederick County is a named service county. At around fifty-five miles it is one of the furthest points we serve, and for an emergency a local plumber will be faster. We will tell you that on the phone.

My water pressure has been dropping for years. What is it?

In a house of this era it is very likely galvanized supply corroding from the inside and narrowing. That said, a failed pressure reducing valve produces the same symptom at a fraction of the cost, so we test before recommending anything.

Can a repipe be done without wrecking plaster walls?

We plan routes to minimise openings, mark every one before cutting, and use flexible PEX to reach places through existing cavities. Zero openings is not possible on a full repipe, but the fewest possible is.
