Glenwood sits in the rural stretch of western Howard County near the Route 32 corridor, on the higher ground toward the Carroll County line. Properties are large, most run on wells and septic, and the elevation means winters bite a little harder here than they do closer to the bay.

How do I stop pipes freezing in an unheated outbuilding?
Insulate the runs, seal air infiltration where the pipe passes through walls, and use heat cable on the most exposed sections. For a genuinely unheated building over winter, a proper drain-down is the safe answer — we can do it and reverse it in spring.
What do I do if a pipe freezes?
Shut off the main water valve first — if the pipe has split, thawing it is when the flooding starts. Then open the affected faucet and apply gentle heat working back from the tap. Never use an open flame.
Do you come out this far for emergencies?
